Varför har KT88 och 6550 olika form?

Fick för mej att byta rör härom dan.

Har kört med 6550 tidigare och skaffade nu KT88.

Är det bara nån (jäkla) design-grej att glaskroppen har annan form på KT88 än 6550?

Såvitt jag kan se så skulle inkråmet rymmas utan bulan.
