Ja hos vissa av dom ser det ut som på ett teknologiskt laboratorium. WAF faktorn är antagligen obefintlig och deras kvinnor har lämnat dom när sjukdomen bröt ut.

Jag tycker att det både var spännande att få ta del av dessa grekiska gentlemäns stora passion för väl återgiven, inspelad musik, och att det överhuvudtaget är intressant att ta del av folks intressen och passioner. Inte minst när dessa hobbysar går lite, eller mycket, utanför det lite mer vardagliga. Vem kan säga vad som är en naturlig lockelse/böjelse för något, och när det måhända har gått över en viss gräns. Jag kan det inte, och tänker heller inte försöka, utan önskar dessa hifi- och musikälskande herrar lycka till med resten av deras hifi-liv!

Fantastiskt. Äkta passion är underbart att se oavsett inriktning. De finns överallt inom alla områden. Känner en ornitolog som i somras körde 60 mil för att titta på en Ortolansparv. Är han tokig? Nej, han är bara passionerad. Vi tillhör väl samma avdelning fast med HiFi, en del lite mer, andra lite mindre ...

Det finns ju folk som kan köra 15 mil för en halv special så det måste vara OK... Annars känns väl dagens ornitologi mer tävlingsinriktad med alla avprickningslistor och allt runtomkring... Höjden av avstressning kan ju annars vara att följa t.ex. ett häckande fiskgjusepar på avstånd under en sommar. Frågan är om grekiska klubben tävlar inbördes...

Jag tyckte det var en cool film. Det råder ingen tvekan om att de är passionerade. Jag tyckte inte heller att de verkade särskilt "nördiga" eller verklighetsfrånvända (i datavärlden finns betydligt värre exemplar). Däremot var det nog inga fattiglappar.

Man får ju hoppas att de går på riktiga konserter emellanåt också.

Som rörvän så var det ju kul att se att flera av dem spelade på rörpytsar, tyckte nog att jag såg ett par 300B där någonstans.

Någon som kunde urskilja några märken (Audio Research var ju ganska uppenbart)?

Dagens skivsamlare kan även de vara tävlingsinriktade samt även ha avpricknigngslistor med sig på mässor

.....fast att, som en av dom enligt egen utsago gjort, byta förstärkare 49!!! gånger på 5 år kanske är att ta i . En hade trots allt den goda smaken att använda en Michell GyroDec.

Den ena audiofilen påtalar vikten av god strömförsörjning. Säger han att Exact power står för ca 50% av välljudet hemma? Det hade onekligen varit intressant att testa en ballad nätdel. mmm... Det kanske är dags att ta tjuren vid hornen år 2007. :cool: Kommer video-presentationer att bli det nya på HiFi-webben? :cool: Skitfräckt! Thank you for any nice comments you have made to the documentary film about some insane audiophiles in Greece and the Club specifically.

Sorry I do not speal Swedish, so I do not know exactly what are you talking about.

I would recommenmd a visit to the http://aca.gr/event06-3.htm web-page, which explains everything about the film and has also imbedded the film itself in a large window.

Just wanted some help regarding the 2 other documentaries that were filmed in the past and which we have links to at the end of this page. Could some member of this Forum tell me if the info about them are correct or not?

Hi Christos and welcome to a forum concentrating on two channel high end reproduction. We're discussing Hifi on the Internet and Ranefjord would like to see more video presentations on the Hifi Web in the future. What's your opinion, are video presentations a new trend for the years to come...

I enjoyed watching the video and I hope that this kind of video content is a trend on the rise - even though this video in particular has no educational or real informational value in itself, it is no less entertaining and highly interesting to see other people that has a bruning interest for high quality reproduction of recorded audio, their systems and - sometimes a bit crazy - view on things.

I'd love to see more like this, maybe Christos and friends can give us more!

I think this is a wonderful little film!

As was said earlier in this thread, seeing people passionate about something never fails. It's all about the passion, the enthusiasm, and in our case - the music and the emotions it brings us all.

How can it be considered crazy to spend money on hifi equipment, when people in general spend the same (and often much more) money on trivial things like houses, apartments, cars, boats or what have you..? That beats me, I tell you. Spending money on art in any way, shape or form is the only way to spend money - period. Of course we need the necessities of life, somewhere to live and so on. But we can choose how to and where, there's no need to overdo it you know. Then we have the various toys we gather. Toys are fun, for sure, but they are just that - toys. Toys never last long, and are always a waste of money in the end. On the other hand, a passionate experience is priceless, and you keep it for life.

So, who is crazy? I know the answer to that. Do you?

I salute our Greek friends, keep it up and enjoy the music!

I don´t understand why this kind of videos are so interesting since you don´t learn anything from them... I mean if you look at any repotage in this forum you can at the same time look at beautiful pictures and learn something from the "article" itself..

Sorry for this reply but I think that the ordinary photoarticle by Timbre, Eliot you name it is much better than these films..

I find it refreshing with the interview format used in this video, it's an added dimension to see and hear the people talk about what they love. Obviously videos cannot replace high quality photos, but as a complement it's great. Adds a personal dimension to it, I feel.

It's not all about knowledge and finding "new things & new info" - is it?

Video presentations might be a problem for hifi magazines or the sollution could be a supplied video disc.

Of course you´re right about the either/or sitation . but I´m not so sure about the other things that you have written. I have to think it through one more time but at the moment I don´t think that videos add a personal dimension.. Perhaps my opinion can change .. Who knows

I also agree with that finding new things and info is not all that matters but knowledge on the other hand is very important.
