Engelska Hifi + testar CD-120 I senaste numret. De hänger på åsikterna som bland annat TNT Audio hade att Operas cd spelare spelar analogt, i positiv bemärkelse. Ett citat ur sammanfattningen:

“The music is reproduced in a deeper more meaningful way than one often finds with silver disc. The CD-120 Linear is a very musical CD player – one of just a few able to make digital sound like good analogue”

Och för er som missat TNT Audios recension av Droplet CDP 5.0 kan följande citat ge en fingervisning:

”I'm not a CD fan. Generally all but the very best of the breed sound small, flat, uninteresting and with a hard midrange. The best reduce these faults and bring the silent background and lack of the obvious distortions of vinyl to the party.

But the Opera made me smile - why? Because here was a big, generous, bouncy player. 'Scale' seems to escape CD players, even ones as exulted as the Mephisto, but the Opera really did sound like a turntable at times - and a good one at that.”
