The HYDRA TRITON power distributor is the beneficiary of a ten year research and development cycle aimed at perfecting high-performance, maximum current power-distribution for the film, recording and audio/video industries. All of the unique technologies within HYDRA TRITON are the exclusive intellectual property of Shunyata Research scientist Caelin Gabriel. It is rare in any product category - even less so in power products, for there to be a consensus on products used in different systems and within differing contexts. This critical and commercial consensus is the result of Shunyata’s ability to measurably improve peak-current delivery to electronics using DTCD Analysis. Equally important has been the development of the MPDA (Multi-Phase-Differentail-Array) filter-networks, which minimize CCI (Component-to-Component Interference) without adding any capacitive or inductive reactance. Shunyata’s (patents pending) Noise Isolation Chambers add performance to the TRITON design by passively absorbing noise in the megahertz and gigahertz region. Shunyata’s ZPP-DS (Zero-Point Power Distribution Buss) and VTX wiring significantly minimize electrical resistance and wire-related distortions. NIC

NICs (noise isolation chambers) are patented devices that reduce very high frequency noise in the Megahertz to Gigahertz range without the current limiting and negative sonic affects associated with the use of conventional transformers, coils and ferrite beads.

MPDA Filter

The MPDA (multi-phase differential array) is an advanced 30 element, surface mount, filter array that significantly reduces power-line noise without the audible or visible side-effects normally associated with conventional capacitive and inductive approaches.

ZPP-DS

ZPP-DS (Zero-Point Power Distribution System) significantly reduces the number of wires and connection points within the power distribution system. The A.C. outlet contacts and main electrical buss system are unified into a single electrical point of contact, while eliminating the daisy-chained runs of wiring needed in conventional distribution systems.

VTX Geometry Conductors

Shunyata Research has developed what might be the world's perfect power conductor geometry. VTX wire geometry simulates a hollow conductor, which minimizes inherent inductive reactance and skin effect, improving DTCD™ instantaneous current propagation.
